Journalist reporting on sexual harassment gets heckled

A BBC news reporter has been heckled by men while filming a news report about sexual harassment.

Journalist Sarah Teale was filming a piece to camera in Nottingham city centre when two men who were passing by hurled obscene remarks in her direction.

The video, which has been uploaded to BBC Radio Nottingham’s Facebook page, shows Teale sitting on a wall outside the Nottingham Conference Centre

Addressing the camera, she says: “An online study found a shocking ninty-five-percent of people said they had been harassed, either jeered at or had obscenities shouted at them in the street.

“And a large proportion said they had been groped or grabbed inappropriately in public.”

The men then walk past and shout obscenities at her.

In response, Teale simply says: “Yeah! Like that…”, as she points towards the men, before turning back to shrug at the camera.
